VLdesign

VLdesign is founded by Vagn and Ruth Larsen in the 1960's. Vagn Larsen was very creative and possessed artistic capabilities. Among other things, he has designed paper for gift paper.

In the beginning, the main activities of the company were small cone pixy for Christmas. The giant cones were imported from Yugoslavia. The employees produced clothes in felt, which was put on the cones so they seemed as the nicest pixies. Besides this, there were produced filt bags to be used to wrap presents in for Christmas. At Christmas there were green bags with pixies and at eastern, the bags were green with small chickens.

Later on, the production was purely mobiles. Vagn Larsen designed the models, which were produced as homework. When Ruth and Vagn Larsen were to retire, they decided to sell the company and enjoy their older days. Then Kirsten and Henry Bech - bought VLdesign in 1988.

Now the time has come for Kirsten and Henry to retire. That is why they have given us the opportunity to carry VLdesign on. We are Line and René Soerensen.


This is René, the proud owner of the company. And this is my wife Line, whom had the excellent idea of showing the by-passers, that our products are "hand made in Denmark".
We are really looking forward to get going with business, as well as meeting the, to us, new customers.

We have decided to carry on the company VLdesign the same way it has been run until now - so there will be no change for our costumers. The mobiles are still being produced as homework and we have the pleasure of having one employee who has worked for VLdesign for more than 30 years.

Today, our assortment is broadened with celebration- and Christmas cards. Also we have a huge sale to Greenland, why we have designed a couple of models with the Greenland flag and we are also producing cards with Greenland text.

We participate in the "Formland" fair in Herning twice a year, where we meet with many of our foreign customers and there maintain the close, personal relationships. The fair in Herning is very popular with many visitors and it is also a fair where we get many new customers.
